About Olivia

Olivia, born and bred in Singapore, is an industrial designer turned physiotherapist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2013. Before joining Physioactive, Olivia was based in Australia, working extensively in geriatric physiotherapy, treating mainly neurological and geriatric conditions. Since her return to Singapore, she has worked in private practice, treating an extensive range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. Her special interests are in functional movement, sports injuries, lower and upper limb injuries, and back pain.

Outside of the clinic, Olivia is a member of the Singapore Rugby Union medical team and is the team physiotherapist for the National Rugby Academy Women’s team, managing players from 10 to 20 years old. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys Olympic-style weightlifting and can be found honing her skills in the gym.

Being an avid sportsperson herself and having suffered her fair share of injuries, Olivia understands what it is like to be the patient. Never one to say “No”, she believes in tailoring her patients’ rehabilitation programme so that they can continue to lead the active lifestyle that they want.

I lost a significant amount of weight and got into Triathlon and of course had all the usual issues in addition to frozen shoulders and a fairly serious issue with my right knee. Olivia put things right with a highly effective regime of therapy, rehab, and prehab, and I haven't looked back since! Highly recommended!

I was out of hospital, could barely walk and in a lot of pain with numbness in my foot and down my leg after a bulging disc hit a nerve. Olivia was able to give me instant relief and just a few months down the line I was walking normally, had started sports again and the numbness was completely gone (I was told in hospital it would last a minimum of a year). Very happy that I landed on my feet with a great physio!
